Valentine’s Day is the best day to tell your loved ones what you really feel for them.
In 2015 Schwarzkopf and Nectra Color gave their customers the possibility to do this in a very special way. „Your declaration of Love“ was a Facebook app in which users were able to add a personal message to their partner at the end of a gorgeous small video about a young couple.

The app was really easy to use and didn’t require any actions of the user, except uploading a beautiful picture of itself and its partner, writing a love message to its beloved one and choosing a design for the message to be shown in.

At the end, the user’s partner got an e-mail notification about the waiting Valentine’s surprise. After having clicked the button in the e-mail the user’s partner got forwarded to the video, special created for itself and, of course, had the option to create a video, too.

thoughts on this project
The project had to be done in a very short time so usually you would think it must have been a stressful one. But it was the very reverse. Thus, it was just a small app for Facebook, the design was easy and quick to make. The customer already liked the first version of design so we were able to finish the project very fast. When remembering this project, I can’t find anything negative or annoying on it. It was a really cute idea and the video produced for the app was absolutely stunning. I enjoyed the kindly contact to the customer and had big fun, first making the design and then managing the development part of the project.
